These days it is tough to get away from celebs, sports persons or just the average Joe talking about political issues or religion. Social media such as Twitter has really put a cramp on “just having fun” dialogue.

Finding anything to chat about that is not contentious is a challenge.

A little background:

I am thrilled to be in the Guinness Book for having the Largest Winnie the Pooh and Friends Memorabilia collection in the world since 2008.

Since then, I have held the Guinness World Record title and have crushed my own record numerous times. My initial record was set with having collected 3,891 items and today the record has amassed to over 27,000. Who knew there were so many items.

I very much enjoy collecting Winnie the Pooh “items”. Many Lake Church people think of stuffed animals, figurines or books when they imagine the collectables. The collection, however, is comprised of so much more: cooking tools, jewelry, sweaters, bathroom items, holiday décor, toys, music – the list goes on and on …

The part of the presentation that I believe interests guests most is the fact at my husband, Gary, and I have had so many wonderful “experiences” while collecting that has taken us across the country and across the world.

In my book, How It All Began, I give readers an opportunity to discover how collecting items has become collecting experiences while meeting amazing people. I would enjoy meeting your amazing people in Lake Church.
